IPT Specialisation Course: Election Observation

This IPT Specialisation Course is designed to support the development and consolidation of pluralistic, democratic societies through preparing participants for observation and assistance tasks in electoral missions. Topics to be dealt with include different electoral systems, different institutional approaches to election observation, voting and new technologies, elections and election observation in different societies, tasks of Short-Term Observers (STOs), Long-Term Observers (LTOs) and Election Supervisors.

IPT Core Course for Peacebuilders

The ENTRi certified core course for peacebuilders introduces basic knowledge and skills around peacebuilding processes, strategies for peacebuilding, third party intervention, conflict analysis and more.
All modules enhance technical knowledge, interpersonal skills, and promote a reflective and critical approach.

As part of the course, participants will

  • Learn about different peacebuilding approaches
  • Gain important relational and technical skills for the field
  • Understand different aspects of violence and -response
  • Get an overview of different actors in the field and how to cooperate with them
  • Learn how to handle complex risk situations: four-wheel drive training, mine awareness, and field orientation

Course Fees:2000 EUR
Application Deadlien for full- and partial scholarships: 05 April 2020

This includes tuition fee, course materials, shuttle to and from the aiprort, as well as full-board accommodation, coffee breaks and a social event.

IPT Master Class on Gender, Intersectionality and Peace Work

This Master Class supports trainers, facilitators, development- and aid workers, peace workers and gender educators on how to encourage and guide people to re-think culture, gender, race, sexual orientation, social class and more. A special focus is placed on considerations of intersectionality while doing gender and peace, as well as on practice-based learning of intersectional pedagogy.
